Headlice control is NOT a school responsibility; it is ours as parents/caregivers. We all need to look at how we deal with the problem.

We understand that sometimes it is necessary for children to bring medication to school, however where possible medication it should be avoided. If medication is essential the following procedures must be followed:

If a child is feeling unwell or has hurt themselves they should either tell their class teacher during lesson time or a duty teacher if it happens at morning tea or lunchtime.

The school has a sun-smart policy to educate children in preventing sun-burn and reducing the risk of melanoma later in life. During Terms 1 and 4 it is compulsory for children to wear suitable hats with brims or flaps to protect necks, ears and faces.
