Medication at School

We understand that sometimes it is necessary for children to bring medication to school, however where possible medication should be avoided. If medication is essential the following procedures must be followed:

• Medication is to be taken to the School Office and the child’s parent must complete the authorisation form, giving clear instructions as to the dose and time to be taken.
• Medicines, tablets etc. will be stored either in the Sickbay or the Staffroom fridge.
• Medication will usually be administered by office staff.

NO MEDICINES ARE TO BE KEPT IN CLASSROOMS OR CHILDREN’S BAGS.
